Zimmer takes oath of office, celebrates in style

After a ceremonial swearing-in Friday, new Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer is on the job. She was officially took office on Monday. Eyewitness News spoke to Zimmer after the ceremony and asked what her top priority will be in her new role. "My priority as district attorney will be to work very hard to reduce violent crime in Kern County," Zimmer said. The swearing in was followed by an invitation-only reception.
