Vegetation fire spreading off I-5, recommended evac for Digier Canyon

UPDATE (1:44 p. m. ): Fire Engineer Andrew Freeborn said the fire has grown to 50-plus acres and is 15 percent contained. The Kern County Fire Department recommends residents in Digier Canyon evacuate and go to Frazier Mountain Park High School, 700 Falcon Way. Multiple resources are being used to fight the fire, including helicopters and airplanes dropping retardant and water.
