Teen rescued after becoming stranded on Kern River

A teenage boy was rescued Wednesday after becoming stranded on a rock in the Kern River.The 17-year-old boy, of Woodland Hills, was flown to safety by a Kern County Fire Department helicopter, a sheriff’s office news release said.
