
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The resentencing hearing has been postponed for a Bakersfield man who killed his mother as a teenager. Parker Chamberlin appeared in court Friday morning, but the judge postponed the hearing to Feb. 6. Chamberlin is serving a sentence of 26 years to life in prison for murdering his mother, Torie Knapp, in 2001. He was just 15 at the time, but he was tried as an adult.
