Rehab hospital teams up with Marley's Mutts for new dog therapy program

For many of the patients at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, therapy time has gotten a little more cuddly recently. Six months ago, the hospital teamed up with Marley's Miracle Mutts to create a dog therapy program for their patients. The idea is to provide help in two areas. The first is emotional support. They say having a dog can help with a person's emotional well-being, which has a direct, positive impact on physical recovery. The other area is day to day activities.
