Pedestrian suffers moderate injuries after being hit by car

A pedestrian suffered moderate injuries after being struck by a car in south Bakersfield Wednesday evening. Police said a woman was walking in the roadway in the 3700 block of Hughes Lane at 9:48 p.m. when she was struck by a black BMW sedan.
