
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The state has suspended the operating license for a Bakersfield woman accused of harming a child at her home-based day care. Shannon Perkins is accused of beating and choking a young child. The actions were reportedly captured on in-home surveillance videos. California Department of Social Services spokesman Michael Weston told Eyewitness News on Tuesday that the child-care operating license was suspended, though Perkins has the ability to appeal.
