McFarland shooting victim dies at Kern Medical

The man who was shot Friday afternoon in McFarland died of his injuries at Kern Medical Center. The identity of the man is unknown, as he wasn’t carrying any ID, McFarland Police Chief Scot Kimble said. The victim was an adult Hispanic. Police officers responded around 4:30 p. m. to reports of a shooting and found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest and a single spent shell-casing on the ground.
