Man shot by police was wanted on suspicion of attempted murder
A man shot and killed by officers during a running gun battle last week was wanted on a warrant for attempted murder. Francisco Villarreal, 37, was a passenger in a vehicle that led police on a chase early Aug. 18. Armed with a handgun, he exited the vehicle after it stopped in the 800 block Path to Full Story on The Bakersfield Californian
