
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A man who drove under the influence of cannabis and possibly alcohol was sentenced Monday to two years in prison for a crash that killed a pregnant teacher. John Sebastian Hernandez was also granted credit for time served and good behavior. He was previously convicted of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. “We’re not happy with this sentencing at all,” Deputy District Attorney Kim Richardson said after Monday's hearing.
