Man found dead in orchard in February has been identified

A man found dead in an almond orchard Feb. 19 has been identified as 61-year-old Johnny Thomas Chappell.A coroner’s office release said cause and manner of death are pending further studies. Chappell’s body was found three miles north of Highway 46 and a half mile west of Scofield Avenue in Wasco. Path to Full Story on The Bakersfield Californian
