Man convicted of attempted murder, other charges in 2014 standoff

A Kern County jury convicted a 31-year-old Bakersfield man of 22 felonies Wednesday for barricading himself in the garage of a residence in March 2014 and shooting at officers. Miguel Villanueva faces life in prison at his June 9 sentencing.
