Man arrested in Tuesday's assault and murder case

Bakersfield police arrested a man for allegedly shooting another man to death on Tuesday. Louie Arturo Hernandez, 19, was shot in an assault on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 2:30 p. m. He sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators focused their attention on suspect Izrael Rubio, 21, for his alleged role in Hernandez’s murder.
