Lorelei Oviatt under investigation following claims of workplace bullying and harassment

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Lorelei Oviatt, Kern County Director of Planning and Natural Resources for more than 11 years, is under investigation following a claim of workplace bullying and harassment filed by one of her employees. Shawn Beyeler, county supervising planner, who has been with the department for 12 years, filed a claim with the county earlier this month, stating Oviatt had an "abusive management style of badgering and berating department staff.
