Lake Isabella man hanged self in downtown jail
A man who died after being found unresponsive in a cell at the downtown jail had hanged himself, according to a coroner’s office news release Friday.Ryan Scott Smith, 38, of Lake Isabella, was found unresponsive Feb. 12 and later pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital the same day, the news release Path to Full Story on The Bakersfield Californian
