Kern firefighters trying to get rescue dogs into loving homes

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) –Kern County firefighters are gearing up for the first-ever Mutts and Fire Trucks, an event that’s designed to get rescue dogs adopted into loving homes. Marley’s Mutts, Pet Matchmaker Rescue and the firefighters are joining forces for this event, 1-4 p. m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at 7900 Downing Ave. Adoption rates will be reduced for firefighters.
