Kern Fire Chief Marshall named to lead governor's Fire and Rescue Division

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Kern County’s fire chief has been appointed by the governor as chief of the Fire and Rescue Division at the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. Brian Marshall, 52, has been with the Kern County Fire Department since 1987 and has served as chief since 2012, according to the governor’s office.
