Kern County Board of Supervisors names interim KCFD chief

The Kern County Fire Department has a new interim chief. Deputy Chief David Witt was appointed unanimously by the Kern County Board of Supervisors. Witt has almost 20 years of experience with the department and has served as deputy chief since 2017. The Board will conduct a nationwide search for a permanent chief over the next several months.
