Information Leaked From Kc Mental Health

The Kern County Mental Health Department (KCMH) would like to notify the public of a low risk potential breach of information that occurred in our administrative department in April of 2016.

During said office relocation and renovation, a single financial report was inadvertently left behind. This report contained some information that falls under the category of private health information (PHI) and is covered under the 1996 federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA.
