Homicide rate off to a rocky start for 2019

It may only be the second day of the new year, but Kern County already has two homicides in 2019, One of those happened in Delano and the other in the city of Bakersfield. The District Attorney’s Office says that it's too early to tell what 2019 will bring, but the two recent deaths follow a year where the number of homicides is expected to hit a new high once all of the numbers are finalized.
