Heidi Carter-Escudero, of the Kern County Department of Human Services, and Roberto Figueroa, of the Kern County Fire Department, stopped by Eyewitness News on Tuesday to talk about the law that’s designed to give new mothers in crisis an alternative to abandoning their babies.
