Family responds to arrest of man charged with Tehachapi murder

A man is facing murder charges in connection to the death of 23-year-old Cheyenne Watkins who was murdered on the 19700 Block of Kid Place in Tehachapi. Friday detectives arrested Alejandro Sanchez in Santa Monica. The 35-year-old is being charged with murdering Watkins on June 1, 2018. Shannon Spears, Watkins sister, said the family has not yet healed from the loss, but Sanchez’s capture is a big step forward in her sister’s unsolved murder case.
