
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Two former Kern County sheriff’s deputies who were previously convicted in a narcotics conspiracy were back in court Tuesday to face fresh charges. Logan August and Derrick Penney were arraigned on charges that include conspiracy, burglary and giving a false report as a peace officer. They each face a charge related to drug proceeds, too.
