Eight displaced by early morning fire

A fire in a garage attached to a single-story Bakersfield house displaced eight people early Tuesday.Kern County firefighters responded at 12:22 a.m. to a call for a residential fire in the 5900 block of East Brundage Lane, north of Highway 58 and east of Sterling Road.
