District: Standard Middle School teacher arrested for allegedly hitting student

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – A sixth-grade teacher for Standard Middle School in Oildale was arrested Friday on suspicion of hitting a student, according to the school district. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The district didn’t release the teacher’s name or say what led to the physical encounter. Eyewitness News is working to get additional details.
