Deputies find methamphetamine, firearm during probation search

Kern County probation deputies arrested a man Thursday while conducting a probation search. Deputies said they arrived at an apartment on 500 block of Monterey Street and starting talking to several people including 50-year-oldRodney Jenkins. During a search of his apartment, deputies found. 25 caliber semi-automatic handgun, multiple live rounds of ammunition, and approximately three ounces of suspected methamphetamine.
