Corners office confirms man who was buried in backyard died via overdose

The Kern County coroner's office released the official cause of death for 21-year-old Joseph Isaac Lara Wednesday. The coroner's office said his cause of death was cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine intoxication. Lara's body was found in the backyard of a home late last month. Police arrested 25-year-oldDennis Marroquin, 30-year-old David Williams andKailee Morrison in connection with the case. Lara went missing around Jan. 10. His body was found Jan.
