Children treated for smoke inhalation from apartment fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Several children are being treated for minor smoke inhalation suffered during an apartment fire, according to Bakersfield Fire Department Battalion Chief Casey Snow. He said firefighters arrived shortly after 9 a. m. Wednesday to one apartment fully involved, with the fire extending into a second unit. The residents of the apartments off Ming Avenue near New Stine Road were able to evacuate quickly thanks to working smoke alarms, Snow said. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
