CHP says drunk driver crash causes power outage at two intersections

The California Highway patrol said a drunk driver is responsible for a crash that downed a power pole in Northwest Bakersfield. It happened just after 4 a. m. Monday at Coffee and 7th Standard Roads. Officers said a woman was driving down Coffee Road when she tried to make a right turn onto 7th Standard. Investigators said he was driving too fast to navigate the turn and crashed into the power pole. She was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. Path to Full Story on 29 Eyewitness News
