Bakersfield park named in honor of fallen officer opens Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The David Nelson Park will officially open Friday. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10 a. m. The pocket park near Monterey and Niles streets honors Nelson, a police officer who was killed in the line of duty.
