Bakersfield Police investigating a body found in a burnt car

The Bakersfield Police Department says they're investigating a body that was found inside a burnt car in East Bakersfield. Just after 12:20 Friday morning, BPD was dispatched to assist the Bakersfield Fire Department with a vehicle on fire in the intersection ofTyree Toliver St and Virginia Avenue. Once flame were distinguished, investigators for a deceased body inside the burnt out vehicle. Officials tell Eyewitness News they do not have a identity or gender of the body.
