9/11 ceremony held in Bakersfield

The Bakersfield Fire Department held a 9/11 memorial service Tuesday morning at its World Trade Center Memorial on Buena Vista Road. The BFD 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial is dedicated to the memory of the civilian, firefighter, police, emergency medical personnel, Port Authority and military lives that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001; to those lives lost in the ongoing pursuit of world peace in its aftermath; and to the citizens of Bakersfield, Kern County, California and the United States.
