24th Street Improvement Project finally breaks ground

On any given day, a drive through downtown Bakersfield on 24th Street can be challenging. "It's one of the major roads, heavily traveled. And the intersection of 24th and Oak has become extremely important and, at the same time, extremely difficult to navigate,” Bill Thomas, former 22nd District congressman, said.
