2 killed in crash at China Grade Loop and Manor Street

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Two people were killed Monday night in a crash in Oildale. The California Highway Patrol said a Dodge Challenger was traveling eastbound on China Grade Loop at a “very high rate of speed” when the driver ran a red light at Manor Street and slammed into a pickup. Both the Challenger’s driver, who was from Porterville, and his female passenger were killed. The driver of the pickup, a 33-year-old man from Bakersfield, suffered major injuries.
