11 day Christmas travel stretch begins

AAA says travel for the upcoming holiday will not be nearly as bad as Thanksgiving but advises travelers to get on the roads early. Nearly nine million people are expected to travel this holiday season either by car or plane in Southern California with a majority going by car, according to AAA. Doug Shupe, AAA spokesperson, says road traffic will be at its worst come Friday afternoon with eight million people in Southern California expected to drive this holiday.
