Man shot, injured in east Bakersfield

Bakersfield police officers are investigating a shooting in east Bakersfield that has left one man injured. Police said they arrived around 5:15 p. m. to the 1300 block of Pacific Street and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. The man was taken to a hospital with injuries described as "moderate. " Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
